indiGLOW Award – Louise

This months indiGLOW award goes to Louise!

Louise started with indigo in December 2017 and in just 2 months has turned things around! Here at indiGO we have started a new process to streamline volunteer inquires to make the volunteer journey easier and help find volunteers for the projects more effectively. Louise has worked non stop to make this happen! With Louise’s business and analytic skills she has dived with such enthusiasm and made huge positive changes. And all this all from all the way in Switzerland! We thank you Louise for all your hard work and are so grateful to have such a wonderful person on our team 🙂

We caught up with Roh to ask her a few questions about her experience with Indigo Volunteers…

So what do you do for indiGO Volunteers?
I am a Volunteer Coordinator

What inspired you to be part of the indiGO team?
I’ve always wanted to get more involved in the Refugee Crisis and some of the projects that IndiGO supports, they’re causes very close to my heart, but I lack the time to jet off and get involved on the ground and also always felt that maybe others were more qualified to do so than me . So when I saw the Volunteer Coordinator role come up….. That was it……it had my name written all over it and I grabbed it by the horns!

Tell us a bit about your self…
I love animals, especially my two little doggies and my native horse oh and my husband (though he can sometimes fit into the former category, he tries his best). I’m an avid skier, cyclist and equestrian.
Travelling has been and continues to be a huge part of my life. This beautiful world never ceases to amaze me.
I strongly believe that we were put on this earth to make a difference. Always see the good in thy neighbour.

Tell us something funny about you…
This page isn’t long enough to recount the amount of times i’ve made a prat of myself. I AM Bridget Jones. E.g I once accidentally done the splits walking up the reception desk in the Canary Wharf Tower for a job interview.
Swimming pool floors weird me out, I can’t go to indoor pools…….
