Join Us for the Big Give Christmas Challenge!
December 3rd - 10th, 2024
From December 3rd to 10th, we are launching our biggest campaign of the year - the Big Give Christmas Challenge! This week presents an incredible opportunity to DOUBLE your impact through charity match funding. Every £20 you contribute will become £40, allowing us to reach even more refugees in urgent need.

The Growing Crisis: Refugee Needs in 2024
In 2024, refugee needs have escalated dramatically, with more people than ever displaced by conflict, persecution, and climate-related crises. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) 2022 Global Trends report, over 89 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Many grassroots organisations struggle to meet the increasing demand for support, often facing gaps in resources and volunteer capacity. By supporting our campaign, you can help close these gaps and provide critical aid to those who need it most.

Our Impact: How We’re Making a Difference
At Indigo Volunteers, we empower grassroots charities to provide essential support for refugees, even in the most challenging circumstances. Here’s how your support will make an impact:
-
Bridging Resource Gaps: We provide training and well-being support to our partner charities, ensuring they are equipped to operate sustainably.
-
Increasing Capacity: By connecting charities with skilled, motivated volunteers, we enable them to expand their reach and provide timely aid.
-
Amplifying Visibility: We advocate for refugee needs to build greater awareness and combat compassion fatigue, ensuring ongoing support for displaced communities.
Together with our partners, we’re ensuring that volunteers can make an immediate difference in the lives of displaced communities, from securing safe housing for refugees to defending their fundamental human rights.

Support our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign to make twice the impact. Your contribution empowers skilled volunteers to provide essential support to refugees worldwide, helping create pathways to safety and stability.

Holly's story
This episode is full of practical advice and insights into the humanitarian sector. Holly also speaks about leaving her job to volunteer in Greece, and how that decision changed her life - from starting Indigo to giving birth to baby Matteo just 8 weeks ago (although she jokingly refers to Indigo as her first baby).
