Statement for Volunteers:
During this time we hope you are well, safe and healthy. In light of the recent uncertainty we are facing with COVID-19, we wanted to inform you of the steps we are taking to protect our volunteers.

As an organisation that connects projects and volunteers, we have a duty of care to the health of our volunteers, and a responsibility to limit the risk of the virus spreading.

In order to limit the spread of Covid-19, we have therefore decided to suspend volunteer placements and are currently unable to accept applications. Instead, we focus our resources on supporting our partners on the ground – by providing training to build capacity for a post-pandemic time as well as organising psycho-social support for volunteers both on the ground and at home.
Please follow the below steps if you have applied through Indigo:

-
Keep yourself well informed from reliable organisations such as the WHO and follow your local government’s advice and guidelines regarding travel and safety.
-
If you are a prospective volunteer and have already been connected with one of our partner charities, please speak directly with the charity for further instructions on how to proceed.
-
If you are a prospective volunteer waiting to be put in contact with one of our partner charities, we ask you to bear with us until we have conducted all our risk assessments and gained a better understanding of the volunteer needs on the ground.
-
If you are a volunteer currently on the ground, please consult with the coordinator in charge. If your concerns do not get resolved, please get in touch with Indigo.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we undertake these measures.
