Talking with the Charity

Picking the organisation that suits you best can be stressful, especially if it's your first time volunteering. We've collated some questions that you can ask the charity when you first speak to them. These can help you select what charity to volunteer with. In addition, we've also listed some information you should collect from the organisation as soon as you arrive on the ground.

BEFORE
your placement

Get details on the role, responsibilities and expectations towards you.

Ask about what training, resources and support you will receive upon starting your placement.

Understand if there are any risks involved with the role you’ll be undertaking.

Ask if the organisation needs any donations you can support them with.
