Refugee Community Kitchen

Refugee Community Kitchen serves hot, nourishing meals to displaced people in the UK & abroad. Entirely volunteer-run and donation-based, they are committed to serving wholesome food with dignity and respect to people in need.

  • Where is it?

    Calais and Dunkirk, France

  • What will I be doing?

    You will help preparing between 1500 and 2500 hot and healthy meals every day.

  • What impact would I have?

    You will be making a big difference to the health and wellbeing of thousands of displaced and homeless people around Calais and Dunkirk.

  • Who will I be working with?

    Other volunteers from all over the world.


  • Minimum age

    At RCK you can volunteer from 16 years onwards with a responsible adult/ guardian and you will not be able to join distributions until you’re 18 years of age.

  • Accommodation

    Initially ( 1st month ) you will need to be self-sufficient and find your own accommodation. If you are deciding to stay longer they will look at accommodating you if they have the space.
