Watershed are a grass-roots organisation working in Moria Camp for better sanitation and living conditions for the residents there.

  • Where is it?

    Lesvos, Greece

  • What will I be doing?

You will be working in Moria camp supporting the maintenance of existing facilities. This means doing daily rounds, checking and servicing every shower, tap, sink and toilet in the camp. It is not the most glamorous job, but it is absolutely essential, as everything needs to be kept in working order to provide decent and dignified sanitation for the residents. Depending on your area of expertise, you may also be asked to get involved with one of our other projects that work on maximising and upgrading WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) spaces.

  • What impact would I have?

Upon Watershed’s arrival inside the famous Moria camp in November 2017, only a handful of toilets and showers were working. But their efforts to improve, upgrade and maintain the facilities have made a real improvement to the living conditions in camp. Most importantly, they have enabled the residents of Moria to have some level of privacy and dignity.

  • Who will I be working with?

You will be working with a small, close-knit team of skilled volunteers. They work together every day, often collaborate with other organisations and work alongside the residents of the camp.
